Help Needed: Creating Casual Book Promo Videos in After Effects

Hi everyone, I’ve been approached by a brand called OceanofPDF (https://oceanofpdf.co.uk/) to create some short promotional videos and images for their collection of books. The project requires simple yet engaging visuals, but I’m facing a few challenges with After Effects. First, I’m unsure which transitions would best suit showcasing book covers in a way that feels smooth and visually appealing. Should I go with a basic fade or something more dynamic?

Also, they’ve asked for text animations that are casual but still professional. I’ve tried using some presets, but they don’t quite match the style they’re looking for. Lastly, since these videos will be posted on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, I’m not entirely sure what export settings would ensure high quality while keeping the file size manageable. If anyone has experience in similar projects or can offer advice on the best way to approach this in After Effects, I’d really appreciate your insights. Thanks in advance!
