Hello all,

Im helping my son for school creating a 3d trading card like a pokemon card.

The card has a 3d window in wich an image rotates, now when the card turns to its side view the image (in the window) doesnt show from the side. Idid this after effects

Now i want to achieve this using a card wich is made in element 3d.like in this video but using a card made in element 3d

So you want to replace the 2D card with a 3D model.  To do that the model needs to have a cut out window.  So you either need a model with a window included, or you need a texture which you'll use as a custom material in Scene Set Up.

If you're then trying to create a "bigger on the inside"-type experience, I'd have Element on three layers.  One showing the 3D model with cutout, then a second version, underneath without the cutout, (either a different texture or different model) and then that, the interior.  Use the middle layer as an Alpha Matte for the interior layer and you should be good to go.

Not sure what you are asking. You import your 3D model and slap on the rest as a texture. Aside from that the procedures don't change. Everything that happens "inside" the card would still just be the animation in the pre-comp you use as a texture.
