Hello., i have video of an interview. The subject is standing and the background is bush. The subject only moves at times hands or sometimes the arms. Now i want to remove the background. With resolve magic mask is almost perfect, but for example, between the finger, when they open i see details of the background. Also the arms..sometimes are well along the body..sometimes they slightly move aside and then pieces of background come out. Now with roto brush i want to clean those things

So i move the playhead in layer panel view, until i find a part where to add or remove somethings. But i can't. Nothing happen. Wheter i add or remove nothing happen

How do i do that?

Thank you

more thing. i have started from thje first frame..then i move ahed the playhead  (not to the end) and wait to propagate to this pooint. Then i go forward, and i see trhe gfreen line in the viewer(the one that ondicvates propagation) that move the first part (or  another middle paRT) go grey again. sdo i can't get to have the whole green..which i suppose is completelly

propagated. look at the image. i always have a grey part somewhere

Hey there,

Thanks for the note. Make sure you’re working in the Layer panel, not the Composition panel. Use the Roto Brush (+) and Alt/Option (-) brushes to add/remove areas frame-by-frame. After adjustments, let After Effects fully propagate the effect (green bar) before moving ahead. If propagation loses progress (turns gray), drag the propagation handles or wait longer. For tricky edges like fingers, use the Refine Edge tool and tweak settings like Feather and Reduce Chatter. Combining Magic Mask with Roto Brush cleanup can improve results. I hope the advice helps.

Thanks,
Kevin

yes thanks, this is what i am tryng to do and actually i might work just wioth refine edge tool as that is what i really need, but i am getting crazy with the propagation. i wait for it to finish befopre moving ahead, but i keep having that behaviour like in the image. something goes wrong, and other parts return grey..what to do to stop this going and coming?
