Help with shifting colors in AE 17.7

I am having some trouble with the appearance of colors in AE. I imported a EPS with the hex color #0c2340 (navy blue) and it imports into AE as #1E1B45 (dark purple). I have tried messing with the color settings to no avail. Here is a screenshot. On the left is a png with the correct colors, on the right is the way the EPS imported.

You have color management inconsistencies. Either turn it all off or make sure everything is properly setup. It is also critical that you use Calbbrated display devices if you expect to see the right color. As long as the color management is the same in all apps your sampled colors should be the same.

FYI - Media players and web pages are notoriously ineffective in handling any color management. Most of the time, the same file opened in different media players on the same machine will look different. There is nothing you can do about that problem.

Hi there,

Sorry for your issue. Please share the following details so that we can understand the issue better:

  • Is this a downloaded file? If not, which application did you use to generate it?
  • Is it happening with multiple files?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi Nishu,

This is a vector file coming from my CC Library. The PNG I imported directly from my computer. The original vector image that is not the right color was created in Adobe Illustrator.

I deleted the files that were importing discolored and put new files in my library, but they were all still discolored when I attempted to import from my CC Library.

Yes multiple files.
