Question

Hi, I'm working in AE 2026.3.0 and the convert vertex shortcut from the selection tool (cmd+option) is now invoking the camera gizmo. This was an issue many versions ago and it lookks like the bug is back. Anyone have a workaround? Thanks!

Hi,

I'm working in AE 2026.3.0 and the convert vertex shortcut from the selection tool (cmd+option) is now invoking the camera gizmo. This was an issue many versions ago and it looks like the bug is back if there are any 3d layers in the scene. Anyone have a workaround? I’m on a MacBook Pro with an M3 running Sequoia 15.7.5.

    Hi there,


    As I can understand, you're pressing and holding the cmd+option to temporarily switch from the Selection tool to the Convert Vertex tool, but instead, After Effects now shows the Camera tool. Is that correct? If yes, go to After Effects Settings > 3D > uncheck "Activate Option - Left / Middle / Right mouse click for camera navigation".

    Hi Nishu,

     

    Thanks for the response. Yes, that does solve that problem, but also means I can’t use the 3-button mouse for camera control, right? I can live with that, but it would be great to have the shortcut and the ability to use the mouse for camera. Not a huge issue though, so thanks again!
