How can i trigger scene edit detection in a CEP extension?

Hi, i am trying to build this CEP extension for Adobe After Effects where it will 80% depend on scene edit detection, and i tried to find the API to trigger the scene edit detection just by clicking a button , but i couldnt find any useful information , i would appreciate it if anyone helped me .
