Question

How do I colour correct heavy orange tint from indoor lighting?

So my friend sent me this clip of his cat. It was taken indoors hence very orange lighting. Is it possible to correct for this in After Effects or Premiere Pro? I'm aware that it's best to correct at the source.

Thanks

Start by adding Lumetry in After Effects or Premiere Pro. Then select the Color workspade and start fiddling with the Color Temperature, then exposure, saturation, and then maybe some of the advanced controls in the Curves section. There are some good color grading and Lumetry tutorials out there. This took me about 2 minutes:

What kind of video file format was it shot in? Is it raw or log footage? In such cases you have the best chance at salvaging the white balance. If not, I would just try to slap a Lumetri Color effect on it and change the temperature and tint and some other basic controls until you feel it's in a better spot and call it a day.

MP4, shared on WhatsApp. I mean it's not essential that I colour correct this particular video just want to get an idea of what to do if I have future video projects with this issue.
