How do I create text with chrome effect as a 3d rotating animated gif?

 

I saw a video on YT ( https://youtu.be/UucE3e1i9Vk ) but it was about how to do to it in photoshop. It doesn't work for me and I figured, maybe in After Effects it might be easier. I can always make the chrome effect in Photoshop and then pass it to After effects and do the rotating there but i don't know how to do that either.

 

Please! I need help with this...

Switch the composition renderer to Cinema 4D, extrude some text, experiment with the material settings to produce that glossy look, animate the layer rotation. Photoshop 3D is deprecated and never was exchangeable with AE in the first place, so no, you couldn't create the 3D stuff in PS and then just pass it to AE. anyway, you may want to educate yourself on some basics:
