Question

How I can download and install an older version of After Effects?

Does anybody know how to download and install After Effects CC 2024 or earlier version? I can only install AE later than version 2025 via Creative Cloud Desktop app or website.
My hardware could not really handle with newer version of AE.

    I have an older Mac, and the latest version of Premiere I can run is 24.3. I need to establish a dynamic link with AE. Is there any way to get AE 24.3?

    Unfortunately, no. Sorry about that. Only the latest and one major behind that latest can be installed.

    Hi! You can do this in the Creative Cloud desktop app: go to Apps > Your apps, select the More actions (•••) icon on the After Effects tile, choose Other versions, and then select Install next to the version you want.

     

    One important note: only the versions Adobe currently lists there can be installed — the list depends on which releases Adobe currently supports and distributes, so if 2024 isn't shown, it can't be installed through the app. Details here: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/download-install-apps/creative-cloud-apps/install-previous-versions-creative-cloud-apps.html

    Thanks for your reply.

    Unluckly version 2024 did not show indeed, and it seems like adobe have stopped the download of version 2024.

    I will try another way. Thanks a lot anyway.

    Hey, thanks for reaching out! As the expert mentioned, AE 2024 is no longer available through Creative Cloud. Only the latest major version and the one before it are available to install. You can find more details in our Creative Cloud support policy.
