HOW TO: 3D Light Leak from a logo reveal

Hello &#128578;Im planning to redo our logo reveal animation but Im still figuring out how to do this 3D leaking light effect. I was looking for tutorials on youtube but I guess im using the wrong keywords. I hope someone from the community can help me figure this out. Thank you in advance!

I think the easiest way to achieve this is with ProductionCrate's Godrays free plugin:

Assuming you are trying to create volumetric beams of light coming from the letters.
