How to add dashes?

I'm trying to add dashes to an elipse shape. There is no plus sign that allows me to add dashes - do I need to activate something?

I had the same problem, but it turned out I had turned off an column view in the panel option. If you select the menu (hamburger) icon of your timeline panel, got to columns > switches, it might fix the problem? It did for me!

You should be able to toggle down the <Dashes and see it.

    When I toggle down, I don't have an option to add dashes. Tutorials say there should be a plus/minus sign, but as the screenshot shows I don't have that.
