How to apply cracking/shattering effect seen in BazBattles videos?

I'm trying to apply the effect seen in this time-stamped link: https://youtu.be/P5ksuFG8YaY?t=507 Specifically, I'm referring to the part where the cavalry charges and the two pieces they hit shatter. If you also look at the other parts of the battle, you can see that some of the other pieces are partially shattering. Ergo, my question is two-fold:

  1. Is this effect included in the AE Effects & Presets library? If no:
    i) is it a preset that I can download somewhere?
ii) If bot (i), is it a bit more of an involved process? Where could I go to learn how to do it?

  2. Are these the same effect at different magnitudes, or two different effects ?

The effect is called shatter. To set the timing you have to animate force one size and or position. It takes a bit of getting used to but poke around and you'll have it,

Thanks so much! I'll fiddle with it a bit, I'm sure I can get the hang of it.
