How to automatically adjust exposure of subject to match varying exposure of background video
I am trying to best simulate videos of interviews being conducted in the middle of a forest. Before hand I start videoing long clips in various nature locations making sure to capture natural movement and sunlight changes over time. I then video interviews in front of a green screen. I can then choose any nature location video as the background. The problem is if when the sunlighting changes significantly in the background it quickly ruins the illusion because the subject remains constant in exposure. The only solution is for me to step through each frame of the video and manually adjust the exposure of the subject to best match how the background sunlighting is changing at the corresponding frame. This is extremely time consuming. Is there a technique that I can automate this and have AE step through frame by frame and make the adjustments of each frame of the subject based upon sampling each corresponding frame of the background video?
