How to change poster image (thumbnail) of video

Hi,

I have an animation rendered as an mp4 - is there any way to change the randomly assigned thumbnail image of the video? I've also heard this called the poster image - the preview screen / still that you see before you hit play on the animation.

The poster frame is not part of the metadata that AE includes in a rendered MP4. Some media players will allow you to assign a poster frame. AE does not.
