How to create a dissolve that only affects mask?

HI. Im trying to create a pixilated dissolve effect so that I can introduce a logo onto the screen. But im having trouble making the effect only apply to the mask and not the whole screen.

It's a little hard to tell from the screenshots, as they are tighhtly cropped. I'm guessing the eyes comp does not contain a background. Are you applying the dissolve effect to the layer or as an adjustment layer?

I'd probably bypass the whole issue by having a duplicate of the layer be above any masks and have that dissovle in.
