How to edit a custom effect

I have a custom effect that I don't have the original xml file to edit it. Is there anyway to edit it, or do I need to recreate the effect?

Legend

Without the XML files custom pseudo-effects dissolve into their underlying standard effects, so you have to re-create them from scratch.
