how to find/spot/focus selected object or comp in layers/timeline panel?

I've 100+ layers. I can easily click it in the visual preview, but it's too tough to find every element in the layers panel by scrolling up & down for every other element. Isn't there a hotkey to do this?
(not talking about type & search feature here)

I kind of got the workaround. Pressing ctrl + up/down arrow selects the layer above or below which also gets the selected layer in focus. So I'll utilize this event in my favor by pressing Ctrl+UpArrow & then Ctrl+DownArrow

Alternatively you can press X to find that particular layer in your timeline

Great tip. I was looking for an answer, didn't realize there is no option to turn an automatic focus of selected composition element in the timeline. Thanks.
