How to fix : after effects error file could not be opened for writing 3:0

After my last update After Effects started giving me this error:

after effects error file could not be opened for writing 3:0

I have no idea how ti fix this!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you on Windows or Mac?
Are you able to open other projects?
Do you launch After Effects first and then open the project file via the File menu or do you open the project file by double-clicking it in Finder/Windows Explorer?
