How to fix Trapcode Mir problem in After Effects CC 2017.2 (Mac)?

Hello,

I have been having this problem for a while now and I do not know how to fix it, most plugins that I got form Red Giant work while others do not work:

plugins that work are Tao, Straglow, Sound Keys, Form, Horizon, 3D Stroke and Shine - plugins that do not work are Mir, Lux and Echospace and they do not appear on the composition while the others do appear like Tao for example which works perfectly fine and is there away to fix this problem?

Trapcode Mir dosen't show:

while Trapcode Tao works fine :

My Mac system is:  (Note: I got upgraded from Mountain Lion to Sierra)

The version of After Effects that I am using is 14.2.1.34  and that is 2017.2 version After Effects.

(I wasn't so sure there to put this post but I do hope it will be in the right category.)

Correct answer Rick Gerard

I can confirm that MIR will not work with an Intel integrated graphics card.

Agree with the previous poster. Just running plug-ins that are heavily dependent on GPU acceleration on a cheesy intel chip is probably insufficient, even more so when it's only an i5 processor that uses the lower performance variants to begin with. The missing plug-ins are probably incompatible, so start by checking whether a newer version exists on the Red Giant website.

Hi timberjadefox

I'm sure the problem is related with your Intel Graphics Card. Trapcode Mir doesn't work with integrated Graphics Cards that share the VRAM with other OS tasks. It needs to use discrete VRAM like AMD or nVidia graphics card to work. This is something that you can read in the minimum requirements for Trapcode MIR.
