How to get path from different layer across comps

Hello,

I have 2 comps with 2 shape layers in them.  I am trying to get the layer in the second comp to get its path from the layer in the first comp but even when using the pick whip tool I get an error.  Can anyone please help?  I have linked 2 screenshots showing the problem,

Thanks

It works for me, using your comp, layer and shape names. The only thing I can think of is that maybe you have more than one comp named "Track" and the expression is referencing one that doesn't have the "Master_Track" layer.

Thank you for your help.

I did a search through my comps and it turned out that I did have another comp named track which I imported from another project. I deleted this and the expression works fine now.
