how to import/export layer comps from Photoshop to After Effects

Hej Guys :), 

i want to know if there is a way to implement photoshop layer comps in AE ?
i couldn't find anything about it. It would be cool, if there is a script or mechanic to use the ps layer comp feature in AE. 🙂

No, there isn't. It's not possible. Layer comps create an inaccessible hidden data chunk in PSD files to store the versions and that's not available to anyone but PS itself. You have to convert your versions to regular groups/ separate documents to use them in AE.

    Is this still the case? A client gave me 4K PSD designed in Layer Comps, but I'm not sure what the workflow is to export/assemble it in After Effects since the Layers themselves don't correspond.
