After Effects 2023 didn't have the support for native 3D object import. It was introduced in 24.1. Here are more details: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/after-effects-24-1-is-now-available-for-download/m-p/14283434#M240900

Try updating After Effects to the latest.

What's the version of After Effects you're using? Is it happening with all the .glb files or a particular one? Are you on macOS or Windows? If you can, share the file that you're trying to import with me to test. Feel free to share via DM if you don't want to share it publicly.

We're here to help.
