How to lock word rotation on a curved path?

Question

I want to animate a list of words going down a curved path, but I need the full words to stay horizontal so you can still read them. Is there a way to do this? I've tried using a null object path but that locks all the words in the formation it is in the text box, and I want each word to still follow the curve of the path.

Basically, I want the text to move on a path how it would if you turned off "perpendicular to path", but instead of having one letter per row, I want one/two word(s) per row. Hopefully that makes sense.

Copy and paste the path to the Position parameter of a Text Layer. This turns the path into a Motion Path that the Layer's Anchor Point will follow while the other parameters, like Rotation, remain separate.

The timing of a pasted Motion Path can be adjusted by clicking and dragging the first or last keyframe to the left or right.

Duplicate the Text Layer, change the text, and nudge the Layer Time Span to the right to offset the animation of a second Text Layer from the first.

Repeat as needed.
