Hey all,

I'm very new to using an editing platform, forgive me if this is a simple thing. I created roto mask for the "twin" subjects and key framed the position. Works great, but curious to know how he created this trail effect behind the subjects coming in to frame?

any help would be awesome.

Quick version (After Effects):

  • Pre-compose your roto layer

  • Duplicate it a few times

  • Move each duplicate a few frames later on the timeline

  • Lower opacity on the older copies

  • Add a bit of blur (and motion blur if you want)

Using the Echo effect on the Pre-compos layer could help. Here's a tutorial that could help: https://adobe.ly/4sejGS1

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
