How to render with blending modes?

Hi,

I have this weird thing going on with my exported file.

The composition contains two layers, one is an mp4 of the logo animation and the second layer is a bunch of photos from the photoshoot of the product).

Unfortunately, logo animation already has a background that I want to disappear so I did apply track matte (luma matte) and everything looks cool till I export it.

I used some masking techniques with the background (logo layer) so that's why I was trying to make that work trough the blending modes.

If I simply delete the background the mask with solid will be visible.

After that, there is no sign of track matte effect (the same thing with blending modes).

Any ideas on how to export track matte or blending mode? Or maybe any different way to accomplish what I want?

If the background of the logo is a solid colour, why not use a Key (or Composite Brush, if you have it)?

I find it much easier to do that, instead.

I didn't know the Key effect before, and that solved my problem.

Thank you!

We really need to see a screenshot of your comp showing the modified properties of the layers that are giving you problems. You need to include both the switches and modes columns so we can see those settings. Select the first two column icons in the bottom left corner of the timeline, select the problem layers then press "uu" to reveal all modified properties, then take a screenshot of the whole UI and embed it in your reply so we can see what you are doing.

We also need to know how you are rendering the file. After Effects renders, it does not export video.
