How to resolve mp4 file corruption import??

Question

After Effects - error occurred while importing the selected items from .1) After Effects error: Source compression type is not supported.2) After Effects error: Could not get file '.mp4'. This file 'MooV' is corrupted or unsupported.
 
- What is the solution? It is impossible to insert the video even if it is exported back to another program.
Every time I use it, every time I update it, It get an error.

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about the issue.

Is it happening with a specific media file? If yes, it could be an issue of media corruption. Try transcoding the media. If that's not the case, where is the media file stored? Is it stored on an external drive or in a folder that is synced with the cloud (Google Drive, iCloud, etc)? Can you bring that media to a different location and see if that helps?
