How to use vfx to create a giant french fry?

hypothetically while a 3D solution will yield a better result, this feels like you could achieve it a lot work for a prank video.  You'd get almost as good a result and the same amount of humour much more easily with a 2D image of a french fry and use After Effects' built-in Tracker panel. 

• Create a Null layer
• Select your clip
• Open the Tracker panel
• Choose Track Motion
• Check for position, scale and rotation
• Set the first point on the attacker's hand
• Set the second point on the end of the noodle.
• Run the tracker using its play controls.  Go slowly, correcting lost track data - you can also track in reverse.
• When it's done, use the Apply to set keyframes on your null
• Add you french fry image and make it a child of the null. 
• Position and angle it as needed.
• Check for motion blur
• Render and be praised as a VFX genius

Storyboard, choreograph, rehearse, to make your life easier, shoot most scenes with the camera locked down. If you must use a moving (handheld) camera, make sure that there is a lot of detail in many of the flat surfaces in the shot because detailed complainer surfaces are required for Camera Tracking. Plan to spend some money on 3rd party plugins and take a couple of hundred hours learning how to use After Effects and the 3D app (I suggest Blender http;//blender.org) you will use to model and animate the French Fry. Learn to rotoscope, probably using Mocha AE. When you have all of the elements prepared, and you are familiar with the applications to start building the shots, pre-edit the scene so that it flows well, then each shot in the scene becomes a new composition and a new 3D project. If there are 40 shots in your 2-minute movie (about average for action), you will end up with 40 AE compositions and 40 3D scenes. Each one of those could easily take four to eight hours to complete. 

The other approach would be to use some of the new AI (Artificial Intelegence) movie tools to do a kind of funky version of the skit with a couple of clicks and typing in a few words. That would be good enough for Social Media. The other approach would be good enough for a Feature Film if you spent enough time with it.

You animate a 3D fry over the whole thing. This has zero to do with AE. Well, at least until you have your 3D rendered fry and even then you have to prep the shot accordingly by adding markers to the noodles and the scene and all that good stuff. It's a s*** ton of work.
