Huge Text Slowdown on M1 Mac with 24.1
This is driving me mad.
I have two machines. M1 Air Laptop and M1 Max Studio.
Both runing IDENTICAL systems, plugins, extensions & settings.
Both have fonts managed with CC and Right Font,
On the MAX, typing/amending Text in the comp window, manipulating parameters or inteacting with has a HUGE input lag.
Also Opening AE takesa 30 seconds.
On AIR it is lightening fast (ie normal).
Both systems using GPU, Prefs Reset.
I have tried
1. reininstalling AE on MAX.
2. disabling all scripts, plugins, etc.
3. Running in safe mode.
4. Deactiviating all non core fonts.
In desperation, I tried runing the lastest BETA on my MAX, and the problem went away.
my question to ADOBE (any others) is -
1: is this a know issue that was fixed, and how long will I have to wait to see it released>
2: Is there a known workaround that will strop the Text lag on the MAX?
...and no, I dont want to use the Beta in production.
