I can't animate path keyframe in after effects

Hey guys, I'm having some problems with after effects. I can't animate my path keyframes. I can put the keyframes but they just don't animate. I try to change the length of the shape but it doesn't happen. Please help me.

Well, you have an Echo effect applied, do you not? That may simply affect the outcome. Likely it doesn't work correctly, anyway because typically one would have to pre-compose and apply the effect in teh parent comp. So to recap: It's probably working just fine, you just have a bad workflow here.
