I can't stop previewing in fullscreen

Whenever I want to preview my clip it sends me into fullscreen eventhough I didnt check the fullscreen box in the preview panel. I need help. I can't get work done like this.

Which OS are you using - Windows or macOS? Are you on a dual monitor setup? You can try resetting the preferences of After Effects. Here's how: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-p/10634342?page=1
