I have a problem with comatibility AE 22.6 and AE 23.0

Hi, I have pronblem with After Effects 22,6 and After Effects 23,0. Problem is in their compatibility because when I open my old works they opened in AE 22,6 and if I wanna export them in Media Encorder its not working. Then I must opened this work in AE 23.0 and save like new version and then export. I don´t undersand why I still have old version AE 22,6 when i have allready uploaded new version AE 23.0.

I don´t know what I can do with this situation and if I deleted the old version, i´t´s could be problem with opened works in older version ?

Thanks for writing in.

As Mylenium said, when you move to the next version (from 22.x to 23.x) Creative Cloud desktop app gives you an option if you wanna remove the existing version or keep it. If you'd like, you can remove the 22.6 from the Creative Cloud desktop app and all your existing files will open in 23.0.

What happens when you try to export using Media Encoder? Please share more details.

Check your settings in the CC app. You can let it automatically delete the old versions liek it was with CC 2020 and 2021. They changed it again as apparently there is soem wisdom in having an older version around in case soemthing isn't working in a new release. The rest of your post doesn't make much sense somehow. It has always been a requirment that both AE and AME be the same version for this to work and you can set your preferred app for opening files at the system level easily. So what is the specific problem here?
