I have an doubt about fractal noise

hey i have a stupid doubt but i want to answered , why fractal noise always visible no matter what are order of layer stack becuase as i understand if any layer which have fractal noise and stack below a layer which have a solid background that background should be visible because it lies on top but in reality fractal noise always visible why so ?

Fractal Noise is an effect on a layer.  If that layer is above the other in the timeline, that's what will appear.  If the other layer is above and its opacity is 100% and there is no transfer / blending mode set, then that's the only thing that should appear.  Can you send through a screenshot showing your timeline and comp window and we might be able to spot the issue.

hey i recently notice that comp which is above the fractal com have grid effect in solid layer which i use as a BG and it makes it transparent thats why fractal always visible although why grid make a solid layer transparent ?

Yeah, that's how the Grid effect works.  If fills up the solid it is applied to with lines with the areas inbetween transparent.  But at the bottom of the effect is the Blending Mode option.  It is set to None by default, but if you switch it to Normal, you'll see your original solid.
