I have Toggle Mask and Shape Path Visibity toggled but It still doesn't show the Circle icon

I'm extremely new to Aftereffects and I have Toggle Mask and Shape Path Visibity toggled but It still doesn't show the Circle icon when my mouse is on the comp. I'm on Mac btw.

You may want to try typing M to show the mask property and clicking on it. Also, just try clicking on the clip, in the timeline, with the mask or shape path.
