Question

I’m looking for a way to convert an MP4 into a vector animation

I have an AI-generated MP4 file that I want to use in After Effects as a vector animation. However, excluding the option of manually drawing it, I’ve explored several methods, but it’s more challenging than I expected.

One approach I considered was using image tracing in Illustrator for each frame of the MP4, but this results in too many shapes being generated. Additionally, if there’s a shape for something like a head, the process of linking those shapes across frames and applying animation is extremely tedious.

Is there another method that could work more efficiently? Fortunately, I found a sample, but I’m still unsure about how it was made. I’ll share the After Effects sample file. Does this sample look hand-drawn? I’ll be waiting for your response.

Hey Nerd!!

Did you end up finding a way on how to do this?

I am also trying to figure out how to do this, to end up in Cavalry actually but without drawing it with Krita or the likes…

Regards,
