I'm trying to flick a light on and off in a moving drone shot

Kind of tricky to explain. But the gyst is that I have a drone shot that gets wider as it pulls away. And in that shot I need a scoreboard light to flash on for 2-3 seconds, then flash off. What would be the best way to go about doing this?
