I updated After Effects & Media Encoder Now it wont render

Hi all. Last night my after effects was super sluggish, processing for almost a minute each time I made a change. Then I got a notice to update, so I updated to the latest version. Now I can't get my ME to render my videos. It keeps saying that it will take 200 to 400 hours to render clips of 10 to 12 minutes. I did try rendering some thing that was saved in the old version and that was due to render in 6 hours. Please help.

Thanks

J

Are you rendering with GPU acceleration or software render only?  Have you updated your graphics drivers recently?  Could the updated AME have reset anything? Is your cache recently emptied?
if you can post screenshots of your AE timeline and AME window along with any system info, it might help diagnose the problem

I am using GPU acceleration, I have not done any changes other than updating Adobe. I have cleared cache since in an attemt to resolve the issue and restarted my computer several times. My videos saved pior to the update seem to render fine but any composition since need 200-400+ hours. I used 1 project that was simply a 10 mite clip that I imported to AE with no changes, and that rendered in 20 mimutes. I'm not sure what iformation to give but I copied some system information. Thanks for any help you can share.

Impossible to know anything. You have not offered any system information, no details about the contents of the project, no render settings. Assuming the sudden jump in render times relates to hardware accelerated encoding, the obvious answer would have to be to check these options and update your graphics driver. Anything more will require precise info.

Sorry. Don't know much of the details I'm n=more of a plug and play user- I'm using Windows 10 on a Omen X17 with 16G memory. Don't know too much else. I have been using AE to key out backgrounds and clean up videos of average 10 minutes in length. It's usually 1 video clip and 1 image as background but once in a while I may use 2 pictures or the vide was recorded in 2 clips. I would then render in Media Encoder. I found a Youtube videa when I staterted using it last year that gave me some  idea for settings but with the update I did not see my saved settings so I tried using the Youtube 1080 settings. my average time used to be about 4 to 5 hourse but now it shows in the 200s to 400s hours that it nees for a 12 minute video. I am using the GPU encoding
