Hello, i would like to report a bug found in the Puppet Position Pin Tool.

When using a character that's animated with a Null Object, I tried to apply the Puppet Position Pin Tool to make small movements in the character's body parts. However, after the recent update, the pins and mesh no longer follow the character's position correctly — everything becomes misaligned and glitchy.

Hi there @Kelvin5EA6 , does your character's layer have the Continuiously Rasterize switch enabled? If so, it's not compatible with the Puppet tool because it actually changes the order in which After Effects renders layers, and it creates a look just like in your screenshot.

Thanks,

I applied the suggested fix by disabling the Continuously Rasterize option. However, now when I use the Puppet Position Pin Tool, the image gets completely cut off as soon as I place a pin. It slices the image, as shown in the attachment!

The Puppet tool generates its mesh when you apply your first pin. It's possible that your original mesh got messed up, so I would suggest deleting the Puppet effect entirely from the layer and placing new pines.
You should also be able to see your mesh when placing your pins. If you don't see your mesh, click the checkbox at the top Toolbar while the Puppet tool is selected.
