Import 3D fbx animation isn't always there

I'm using AE 2025

We did the testing and got the texture and animation to appear with FBX files.

But when I bring new 3D models or have the working model brought into a new comp, the animation drop-down in the Animation Options is gone.

I'm a bit clueless if it's a bug, a setting in the comps, or something specific I need to do beforehand. It's getting frustrating that the animation options exist in one comp and not in others.

We did update the 3D Object's texture, but I feel like that shouldn't have caused any issues on the animation side

In the layers panel, click and enable the "Expand or Collapse the Layer Switches Pane" at the bottom left. Check out the screenshot. If this is not the case, please check if it is happening with any other .fbx file.

Let me know.

Thanks,
Nishu
