Question

imported Premiere Sequence not appearing when dragged to new composition

I have a video in Premiere and, in order to keep color profile, I'm creating a nested duplicate of the video clip. Then I create a new project in After Effects, and I import the Premiere Pro Sequence. This works fine. I can see the clip is there.

But, when I drag that clip down to create a new composition, it doesn't appear in the timeline. I just get a black screen and can't view anyting. I have done this before without any issues. I don't know why it's suddenly not working - and I have no clue where to go from here.

Hi charless60749725!

Sorry about the issue. Which version of After Effects are you using? Please check the Video Display Settings in After Effects: After dragging the clip to the timeline, try toggling the visibility of the layers or checking the preview settings:

Toggle the visibility by clicking the eye icon next to the layer in the timeline.
Check the preview settings in After Effects to ensure that you're not accidentally viewing a black frame.
