importing AI file to AE is not working

Hi,

I tried to import AI file in after effect using "composition - Retain layer size" option

the composition is just showing a black backgroung only.

any help please??

check if your AI file is in RGB color mode

Check if you have more than one artboard in your Illustrator file, and remove all the unnecessary ones.

Try right-clickcing those layers and select "Convert to Shapes" and see if they show up. You may be using effects or something in Illustrator that's not compatible in After Effects.
