Importing Illustrator file bringing in wrong file

Not sure is happening but Ctrl+I file Import is not inporting the correct file

...VECTOR\Storyboard_02_20230518b\Storyboard_02_20230518b-04.ai

file imported

...VECTOR\Storyboard_02_20230518b\Storyboard_02_20230518b-01.ai

Any tips?thoughts. I actually can't import a specific illustrator layer now

Hi Tristan Can you check to see if the Illustrator Sequence button is checked in the Import dialog?

Schoolboy error.

Maybe this is on by default now and it wasn't before, hence me making this mistake.

I guess you have a default for any image import? Not sure how often anyone would want an illustrator sequence. Maybe in stop motion

Have had to reimport by dragging

but now it, and it's layers folder are called ...VECTOR\Storyboard_02_20230518b\Storyboard_02_20230518b-08.ai

because AE HAS to increment names. That makes it very very very hard to manage
