Hi, this is pretty urgent,

I've imported illustrator layer files to After Effects as Composition - Retain Layer Sizes, yesterday they were fine, and today they appear black like this:

Yes, they are saved as RGB

Yes, I checked "Create PDF Compatible file"

I didn't edit or change their location or anything, I tried copying my artwork into a different AI and saving a new file, it still apears black, and I tried importing it as composition or footage too, still appears black

I also looked all over the internet and others were having this problem too though nothing worked for me

Why is this happening?! please help me I need to finish this project asap!

Yes artwork can be an issue as AE will get only the one, good to share

Two questions:

1. If you go to the projet panel menu (the 4 horizontal lines) and select 'show thumbnail transparency grid' - what do you see?

2. If you open those exact same files in Illustrator... How do they appear?

Thanks for your reply,

I actually solved it. I put one of the layers that appeared black in the timeline, and after a minute the artwork appeared. I guess it needed some time to load.
