In Ae 25.1, what are the allowed types of glb animation?

I'm trying to import a glb file which has vertex animation created in Blender.
Following are the kinds of animation I tested but didn't work in Ae:
- Animated modifiers like Simple deform (Bend).
- Object deformed by traveling on a bezier curve.
- Object with shapeKeys.

Correct answer Gwen Ray

Those kinds of animation are not supported in AE. AE supports articulated/skinned animations, i.e. those based on nodes' transforms.

Does it look likely that these type of animations will be supported in the future? Is there another way/work around to import and use in After Effects while retaining these animations?

Hi FJ2000,

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, the team does not comment on feature development. I suggest that you create a feature request for that animation type here. I will happily advocate for your request there.

I hope the community can help you with a workaround in the meantime.

Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks,
Kevin
