In general, is it good practice to always "Create Shape from Vector Layer"?

I was animating a character that I downloaded from adobe stock and this question popped into my mind.

I believe that you get more control over shape than a vector layer, such as the ability to add "pucker and bloat", "wiggle" etc.

I was just curious if it is a good practice/habit to get into.

Understood. I will do so on need by basis.

Thank you so much for your reply!

Well, considering that this functionality didn't exist for 20 years before CC the answer should be more than obvious - it's a "nice to have" on occasion, but far from essential nor is it in any way required a lot of the time.
