In Need of Help

Hey, I'm trying to use Lens Flare on a clip of mine, basically moving from one side to another. I tried using keyframes but it's not as smooth as I thought. I thought maybe there's an easier way to track the focus point on to a spot specifically. Please check the clip to get a better understanding
