Impossible to say much without actual system info and critical details like your font settings, obviously. Most likely you simply have a "bad" font somewhere, so start by deleting unnecessary fonts on your system you may have added recently. also check your system's language settings. Even simple stuff like changing the decimal delimiter from comma to point or vice-versa can have odd effects at times. Also consider booting into safe mode and then back into normal mode. Since it forces the system to reorganize and cleanup its files and the Registry on Windows, it sometimes does work wonders.
