Is drag footage to timeline at current frame still there?

Back in the old days of AE, when you dragged footage from the Project Window to the Timeline, the footage would be positioned there to start at the current frame, rather than being put at the first fame of the composition. Is there still a way to do that? I've searched the docs to no avail, and googled the same question also with no answer.  Any help much appreciated! -Jim
