Is it possible to make object leave trace?

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to make an object leave a trace when it moves, or otherwise make it duplicate at a certain interval and stay where it is.

Entirely depends on what specifically you have in mind, but as a start, try the Echo effect. for anything beyond that a more detailed explanation or reference image would be required. From particle systems to complex expression-based setups to alternate third-party plug-ins there could be any number of tools and techniques that could be used.
