Is it still possible to download After Effects 2019 in 2026?

If using After Effects on a computer with 8GB of RAM, keep your Composition size to 1920-by-1080 or smaller and at shorter durations (about 30 seconds or less).  When it comes to source footage, video should be 1920-by-1080 or less and ideally uses a CODEC that’s easy for computers to decompress like Apple ProRes.  ProRes files can take up a lot of storage space, but that’s part of what makes them effective as source footage.  Try to keep still images to 1920-by-1080 as well, but if they need to be larger try to stick to them being 2880-by-1620 to 3840-by-2160.  Whenever possible, minimize the total number of layers in any one Comp, work at Quarter Resolution or lower, and use a Preview option that skips frames.  This should allow you to work and it applies to any version of After Effects.  When working at Quarter Resolution, though, be sure to spot check what your Comp is looking like at Full Resolutions as sometimes there can be a difference in what the picture looks like when viewed at different Composition Resolutions.  Another thing to watch out for is that you may need to do Best Settings / High Quality or Best Settings / Lossless renders on a computer with more RAM.  If your project is organized at the Finder or Explorer level, it’s usually easy to move the project to another computer; however, be mindful of dependencies like fonts (ideally, use Adobe Fonts that can be installed if needed later) and make sure any third-party effects is use are installed.  If working at 1920-by-1080 is still feeling slow, consider reducing everything by half (so 960-by-540) and, if needed, up converting your Best Settings / High Quality renders later.

Hello Alodia. Yes you can use older version of After effects. I’m with the same problem and I use 2019 version. I have no gpu and only 8gb ram. So older version will run, not just run, it will do smoothly. Older versions require lower system. And the most amazing fact is using older version you can have almost every features as the latest one. By almost I mean 70-80% feature. Which wil be more than enough. Because in every newer version adobe don’t add too many features but improve performance which require higher spec for the same features.

Now what you have to do is download and use older after effects version from piracy. it’s the only way. Plus you don’t have to pay for any subcribtion. Go to 1337x website. Search after effects. Download before 2020, it will run smoothly than 2020 or newer. Download with uTorrent 

Basically any other software will do it... except this one. It just eats RAM. For some unknown reson adobe won't elucidate, they don't want a big userbase, and only people on new hardware that can run an ever-less optimized software are welcome. Why they're okay with shrinking market share in a very competitive industry is beyond me.

I do physics sims with tens of thousands of coins, fluid and gas simulation, on a PC with 64GB of ram, and AE would suck it up and ask "where's the rest?" Just to preview some keyed footage with tracking and edge detect, and layered glitch effects.

So i went back to CS6 'cause i had a few installs left. Legally, they had to provide if possible, but i still had to make a stink on their phone line before they gave me what i paid for. I used it to migrate my edits to other software, and if you can't run adobe software, well, i can only imagine adobe is alright with you paying their competition instead. There are free nuke and resolve versions, and blender is free forever too. 

Don't let one bad lisence agreement ruin your career! If Adobe won't or can't provide a software that fits your needs, that's that, and it's not your fault!
