Question

Is there a way to have the start position of particles remain static?

Hello,

Very new to AE, so this may be a very simple thing I'm missing, but for the life of me I've not been able to figure it out.

I'm following along with a Video Copilot tutorial on how to make an animated raindrop texture (which I'll be using as an animated material in Cinema 4D/Octane), and, in watching, I've got everything customized to fit the project this is intended for, though I've not figured out how to have particles remain static.

Ideally, I'd like the initial particles to be birthed at their positions and remain static, rather than have them fade in. I was able to tweak the birth rate paramter so they don't fade out, though have yet to nail down how to have them be constant from beginning of the timeline.

I welcome any insights anyone cares to share re: this!
